The style of Aikido we teach and practice follows the teachings of the founder Morihei Ueshiba and his successors and as it is being further developed by the French Sensei Christian Tissier (7th dan), who continues to teach aikidoka's and teachers around the world. Except from the founder and his successors, an important position in the history of aikido is occupied by Seigo Yamaguchi Sensei, 9th Dan.

The teaching of aikido in our school follows the teaching of Aikikai style as it taught and refined at the Hombu dojo in Japan, the school that is founded by Ueshiba and until today it forms the centre and the ‘mother’ organisation of aikido internationally.

Aikido School Athens is connected with international federations and has been co-founding member of the Section Aikido in the Hellenic Ju-Jitsu Federation (EFEOZ-Z), that is recognised by the General Sport Secretariat in Greece.
